John Singer Sargent was an American expatriate artist, considered the leading impressionist and portrait painter of his era. His neoclassic paintings encompassed Greek and Roman mythology themes.

Perseus was born to the god Zeus and a mortal woman, Danae, making him a demi-god with great strength and intelligence. He would become one of the great heroes in Greek mythology because of his ability to behead the monster Medusa.

Born a beautiful woman, Athena cursed Medusa with a hideous face and snakes for hair. Anyone who made eye contact with the Gorgon turned to stone.

Perseus Triumphant symbolizes the heroic victory of Perseus over Medusa. It opens with a vibrant blend of Bergamot, Saffron, and Cardamom, then leads into a bold heart of Rose and Leather. The scent settles into a profound base of Cedar Atlas and Musk, celebrating this triumphantly epic fragrance.
